After reading Ingrid Trobisch’s book the "Keeper of the Springs", I was touched by her candid testimony of her faith in Jesus Christ and her willingness to share how He had moved within and around her family. She warmly opened her life experiences to the reader thus God’s character is revealed amongst the circumstances and situations she encountered in daily living. The words hit a special mark in my heart.
My family has been such an important aspect of my life. My sisters have always been my best friends. My brothers have been a huge source of support. My mom has been an example of God’s unconditional love. My dad has been a teacher of discipline. My husband is a constant source of God’s wonderment and handiwork. He has placed me in the center of these most cherished people. The circle has grown larger as we have married and added children into the group. My family now expands across the Atlantic to the Netherlands [Holland], Austria, and even Iraq!
I had never considered my family circle as a mission field or outreach potential.
The book inspired me to reconnect with my own personal family ties that have been blurred and have slightly faded within the last few years of neglect. Keeper of the Hearth® Relationship-Building Missions & Communications** is dedicated to share personal testimony of Jesus’ guidance and direction in my life. In addition, it is meant to offer resources for Bible study and to discover our genuine need for Divine Direction. ~Sara Marie
